The portrait was an art challenge between my twin sister (@fayerenart) and me. Every once in a while, we challenge each other to paint characters from a series or movie.
This artwork illustrates Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, in a realistic portrait against an abstract background - inspired by Spider-Man’s suit - contrasting the realism with the abstract.
My focus in character portraiture is to combine a realistic portrayal of the actor with a background that supports the character without taking attention away from the portrait.
